Gaia Grossi

 Gaia Grossi is an Italian painter and sculptor based in NY.

 

She has worked as an editor and theater actress before moving to the US where she pursued independent studies at the Art Students League of NY, the National Academy of Design and Minerva Durham drawing studio. 

 

She enjoys working with a variety of media both in sculpture and painting, exploring the forms of nature and those of ancient Roman ruins. 

 

She was recently awarded the Model to Monument fellowship for the creation of a monumental public sculpture to be installed in Manhattan River Side Park North.

 

She lives and works between Brooklyn and the Catskills region of NY with her husband, a martial artist.
